Why register?

The National was founded in 2008, setting a new standard for quality journalism in the Middle East.

Each day, The National reaches an influential, English-speaking audience from our headquarters in Abu Dhabi to deliver the latest in news, business, arts, culture, lifestyle, and sports coverage, while leading the region in analytical content and commentary.

To ensure we continue to build on our mission, we are asking you to register with us, so we can tailor your digital experience to bring you the latest news from across the region and beyond on the topics and events that matter to you most.

Registration is free and takes a few minutes to complete.

How do I register?

To register, follow the steps below:

  • Visit  www.thenationalnews.com and click the button in the top right, this will take you to the sign-up page.
  • When prompted, please enter your name and email address and create a strong password, then click the Create Account button.
  • Then tell us which news topics you are most interested in.
  • You will be asked if you want to download The National app. If you wish to do so, simply scan the QR code from your mobile device or click the relevant icon and this will take you to the app store to download the app. Otherwise, you can skip this step.
  • Once the steps are complete, you will receive an email asking you to verify your address – please check your junk folder if you cannot see it in your inbox. Add The National as a verified sender through your email provider settings.

The whole process should take only a few minutes.

What if I’m not ready to register?

You can still enjoy a wide range of our award-winning journalism without having to register. This includes our homepage headlines, breaking news stories, and developing live events in our blogs. We do recommend you register to get full uninterrupted access to all our news and features and the best experience of our website and app.

Will I have access straight away?

Yes, registration only takes a few minutes and once complete you can enjoy instant access to all content on The National website.

How will you use my registration data?

Your name, email address, and topic interests will never be shared. The National will use your data to provide you with more relevant content and services on our website, app, and newsletters.

I have already registered. Why am I seeing another pop-up to register?

You should only see a registration pop-up once, unless you are using a device or browser where you are not signed in to the website, or if you are browsing in private mode.

If you are still seeing registration prompts after signing in, then email us at support@thenationalnews.com and we will help resolve the problem for you.

How many people can share my account details?

A registration account is assigned to a single user. However, you can use your account details across five devices. We encourage you not to share your personal account details with others, to ensure privacy and the security of your details.

How can I change my email address/password or the topics that interest me?

To update any of your account information, click the Sign in button, then click on the My account icon. There you can change your email, password, or the topics you are interested in.

I’ve forgotten my password. What do I do?

If you have forgotten your password, then click on the Sign in button. You will then see a Forgot your password option. Click this prompt, then follow the onscreen instructions to reset your account password.
